DIANE CARON
DC RESTORATION
From my workshop in Blainville, a suburb of Montreal, Quebec, I solve challenging problems involving soapstone (steatite) sculptures with the eyes and the hands of an artist.
I have been repairing soapstone sculptures since 1999. Many of the sculptures come from the farthest points of The United States, Canada and The UK. They generally arrive damaged, often in many pieces, but are shipped back to their owners fully restored and polished. In many cases, some parts are missing and they have to be reconstructed to their original shapes.
Some sculptures are of a high dollar value others often hold a considerable sentimental value. In either case, be assured that I will always devote the same time and effort to their restoration.
Given a brief description of the damage and the size of the sculptures I will endeavour to provide an estimate or any further information that may be required . I am confident that you will find my fees to be very reasonable.
