November 2006

My wife and her mother had taken a trip to Alaska together many years ago, and her mother bought a beautiful soapstone sculpture of a mother and child. Several months ago her mother passed away, and after the funeral, the only thing among all her possessions that we shipped back to our home was that sculpture. To our dismay, it was broken in some parts and crushed in others when it arrived, and my wife was devastated.

I searched extensively for someone who could repair it, and came upon Diane's website. The references were especially important to me in trusting to ship this sculpture, to which my wife has such a strong attachment, from California to Quebec, to have it worked on by someone I had never met.

The results have been beyond our expectations -- the broken-off pieces have been replaced, the crushed parts rebuilt with material apparently from the base (according to Diane -- though one would never know there is anything missing from the base),and the whole thing lovingly and beautifully finished, sanded and polished. My wife was brought to tears when we took it from the shipping packaging.

Throughout the process, the communication from Diane (both by telephone and email) was always prompt, considerate, professional and accurate. I would unhesitatingly recommend Diane to anyone with such a need. They can be assured of very satisfying results.

Thanks once again, Diane.
